Abstract

The rapidly increasing population in Surabaya has resulted in an increasing need for availability for the community. Development that aims to accommodate the diversity of people's needs and entertainment such as shopping centers is increasing. This problem raises concerns that can have an impact on the surrounding environment. Lagoon Avenue Mall Surabaya building is one of the shopping centers that are in demand by the people of Surabaya because it has interesting facilities and architecture. The purpose of this study is to determine the sustainable aspects applied to the Lagoon Avenue Mall Surabaya building and analyze efforts to achieve the principles of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in the design of the building. The research methods applied are qualitative research methods using data collection techniques used are direct observation, literature collection, and analyzing architectural principles applied to the case study of the Lagoon Avenue Mall Surabaya building. The conclusion of this research is based on the results of the analysis which is expected to evaluate the achievement of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) on the application of sustainable architectural aspects in shopping center buildings.
